Affordable Lending

Affordable Lending

overview

NHS provides direct lending to support inclusive, economic development in underserved communities. This practice enables us to create homeownership opportunities, improve housing conditions, prevent foreclosure, and help low-to-moderate income families secure a mortgage they can afford.

Families interested in purchasing their home can work with an NHS Lending Counselor to find the right affordable loan. Families who complete the FasTrak Homebuyer Education Class can receive guidance in applying for downpayment assistance. NHS Lending Counselor’s can access special programs at the local, state and federal level which provide loans to qualified families to help them purchase a home. These funds can be applied toward your closing costs or to your downpayment to lower your monthly payments and make them more affordable.
